Coworking - Matosinhos - 2024
The refurbishment of an iconic building in Matosinhos Sul will give rise to an innovative, flexible office space, designed to keep pace with evolving work models. Blending modernity, comfort, and sustainability, this dynamic environment has been conceived for companies, freelancers, and teams seeking a workspace that adapts to their needs.
The project — a refurbishment of the former La Movida building, already under construction and set for completion this summer — marks Castro Group’s entry into this segment with the launch of its own flex-office brand: Buz. The space will feature around 240 workstations across three floors, including coworking areas, private offices, meeting rooms, networking zones, and social spaces.
While preserving the building’s original volume, the project breathes new life into its structure without compromising its identity, establishing the first epicentre of Buz’s ideas and innovation.
With around 240 workstations, this coworking space is spread across three floors. On the ground floor, you'll find the reception area, social zones, pantry, meeting rooms, and an open space area.
The mezzanine features flexible rooms and changing facilities, while the upper floor includes an open space, work rooms, and a networking lounge.
Designed to achieve LEED certification, the building stands out for its water and energy efficiency, incorporating photovoltaic panels and a rainwater harvesting system. It also features 14 bicycle parking spaces, lockers, and changing rooms, promoting sustainable mobility.
We look back at the starting point of this refurbishment, a building poised to regain its pulse and purpose as a new epicentre of ideas and innovation.
